LED Displays for Petrol Pumps & Fuel Stations
A forecourt has a captive audience for three to five minutes, high traffic visibility, and usually nothing on the canopy but an oil-company logo.
- Manufacturer warranty
- GST invoice
- Pan-India delivery
- On-site service in Karnataka
- Transparent, published pricing
What usually goes wrong with signage for fuel stations
- The forecourt holds a customer for several minutes with nothing to look at
- Roadside frontage is prime advertising space earning nothing
- Price and offer boards are manual, and often out of date
- Convenience-store and service offerings are invisible from the pump island
What changes with LED
- A dwell-time audience gets a screen worth looking at
- Roadside displays can carry your own promotions or, with the right permissions, paid advertising
- Fuel prices, lubricant offers and service pricing update centrally
- The site stays visible at night, which matters on highway locations
- Typical size
- 12 × 8 ft (96 sq ft)
- Typical budget
- ₹5–15 lakh
- Usual specification
- Outdoor LED displays

Two very different placements
A forecourt screen is read from six to fifteen metres by someone standing still, so P6–P8 is ample. A roadside pole display facing highway traffic is read from twenty metres and up at speed, where P10 costs far less and looks identical.
Brightness is not optional here
Forecourts are open, unshaded and often face directly into the sun for part of the day. This is the application where an under-specified panel fails most obviously — 5,000 nits is the floor and 8,000 is the sensible specification for a west-facing site.
The advertising-revenue question
A roadside screen at a fuel station can be sold as advertising space, which changes the economics substantially. It also changes the legal position: the moment it carries third-party advertising it becomes an advertising display and needs municipal permission, which in Bengaluru can be a significant annual cost. Worth modelling properly before committing.
Indicative budget for fuel stations
The band most projects in this category fall into. Your written quote follows a free site assessment.
| Category | Pitch | View from | Indicative ₹/sq ft | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Outdoor P6–P8 | P6–P8 | 6 m | ₹2,500 – ₹5,000 | The usual choice for a roadside shop board. Top of the range buys higher brightness and a die-cast cabinet; the bottom is typically an iron cabinet with a lower-tier LED chip. |
Common questions
What brightness does a forecourt display need?
At least 5,000 nits, and 8,000 or above if it faces west or sits fully unshaded. Forecourts have no surrounding buildings to shade them, so this is one of the harshest daylight applications there is.
Do I need permission from the oil company?
Almost always, for anything mounted on the canopy, the price pylon or within the forecourt. Each OMC has its own branding and approval rules. We can supply the drawings and specifications you need for that submission.
Can I sell advertising on it?
Technically yes, and it can pay for the installation. Legally it converts the screen into an advertising display, which requires municipal permission and, in Bengaluru, can carry a substantial annual licence cost. Model that cost into the plan before you decide.
