An outdoor LED display is a signboard that has become a screen. Instead of one printed message that stays until you reprint it, you get a surface you can change from your phone — different offers in the morning and evening, a festival greeting on the day, a new price the moment it changes.
What actually matters when buying one
Most outdoor quotes differ on four things, and only one of them is usually discussed.

Bigger screens are cheaper per square foot — the controller, structure and installation cost is spread across more panels. Below about 6 sq ft the fixed costs dominate and the rate per square foot looks unreasonably high.

Common questions
How much does an outdoor LED display cost per square foot?
Indicatively ₹1,500–₹3,500 for P10, ₹2,500–₹5,000 for P6–P8, and ₹3,500–₹7,000 for P4–P5, excluding GST. The range within each pitch is mostly brightness, cabinet type and LED chip brand. A 4×2 ft shop board typically lands at ₹35,000–₹50,000 installed.
Will it be readable in direct sunlight?
Yes, if it is specified correctly. You need at least 5,000 nits for a normally lit frontage and 8,000+ for a screen facing direct west sun. Anything under 4,000 nits is liable to look badly washed out at midday — how badly depends on which way it faces and how exposed the site is — so put 5,000 on the order no matter what the brochure says.
What happens in heavy rain?
An IP65-rated outdoor cabinet is sealed against rain from every direction. What actually fails in Indian conditions is usually the cable entry and the power supply enclosure rather than the panel, so we seal and route those properly at installation and check them at service visits.
How long does installation take?
A standard shop frontage is usually one day on site once the structure is ready. Larger facades with fabrication take three to five days. The longer part is normally the site assessment, structure fabrication and any power work before installation day.
Can I change the content myself?
Yes. Most shop installations use an asynchronous controller with a cloud or app-based CMS, so you upload images and video from a phone or laptop and schedule them by time of day. We train you on it at handover, and content changes cost nothing.
