LED Display Price Guide — India, 2026
Published ranges for every category we supply, what moves a quote to the top or bottom of its range, and what a comparable quote should include.
- Manufacturer warranty
- GST invoice
- Pan-India delivery
- On-site service in Karnataka
- Transparent, published pricing
Most LED signage in India is quoted per square foot, installed. The ranges below are what we see across the market. They are wide because two panels of the same pitch can differ by a factor of two on brightness, chip brand and cabinet — which is exactly why comparing quotes on pitch alone is a mistake.
Price by category
| Category | Pitch | View from | Indicative ₹/sq ft | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Outdoor P10 | P10 | 10 m | ₹1,500 – ₹3,500 | Cheapest outdoor option. Fine for highway boards and rooftop displays read from 10 m or further. Text and bold graphics only — photographs look coarse at this pitch. |
| Outdoor P6–P8 | P6–P8 | 6 m | ₹2,500 – ₹5,000 | The usual choice for a roadside shop board. Top of the range buys higher brightness and a die-cast cabinet; the bottom is typically an iron cabinet with a lower-tier LED chip. |
| Outdoor P4–P5 | P4–P5 | 4 m | ₹3,500 – ₹7,000 | The outdoor sweet spot. Sharp enough for video and photographs at shop-frontage distances. Insist on 5,000+ nits and IP65 on every exposed side — an under-specified P4 can wash out badly at noon. |
| Indoor P3–P4 | P3–P4 | 3 m | ₹3,000 – ₹6,000 | Auditoriums, large showroom walls, anywhere viewers stay 3 m back. Cheapest way to get a genuinely large indoor screen. |
| Indoor P2–P2.5 | P2–P2.5 | 2 m | ₹6,000 – ₹12,000 | Retail interiors, reception walls, worship halls. Comfortable from about 2 m, which covers most indoor rooms people actually stand in. |
| Indoor P1.2–P1.9 (fine pitch) | P1.2–P1.9 | 1 m | ₹10,000 – ₹16,000 | Boardrooms, studios, premium lobbies — screens people stand right next to. Only worth the cost below about 3 m; past that it is indistinguishable from P4. |
Common installations, all-in
If you would rather not do the arithmetic, these are the figures people actually ask us for:
| What | Indicative installed price |
|---|---|
| Shop LED board, 4 × 2 ft (P6–P8) | ₹35,000 – ₹50,000 |
| Smallest practical display (2–3 sq ft) | from ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 |
| Standard shop frontage, 8 × 4 ft (P6) | ₹1,00,000 – ₹1,80,000 |
| Reception video wall, 10 × 6 ft (P2.5) | ₹4,00,000 – ₹7,00,000 |
| 20 × 10 ft outdoor P4, turnkey | ₹10,00,000 – ₹16,00,000 |
| Event rental | from ₹15,000 / day |
Rules of thumb
- Outdoor costs 20–50% more than indoor at the same pitch, because of brightness and weatherproofing.
- Each step down in pitch raises cost sharply — a P1.5 is roughly three to five times a P4.
- Bigger walls are cheaper per square foot: controller, structure and installation spread across more panels.
- Below about 6 sq ft the fixed costs dominate and the per-square-foot rate looks unreasonable. That is arithmetic, not a markup.
What a complete quote includes
The most common reason two quotes differ by 30% is that one of them leaves things out. Check every quote against this list:
- LED panels, with pitch, brightness and chip brand stated
- Receiving cards and the sending controller
- Mounting structure, fabrication and any civil work
- Power cabling, and whether a load increase or new meter is required
- Installation, commissioning and content training
- Warranty terms in writing — duration, what is covered, and response time
- GST, stated separately
The cost of ownership against flex
Flex printing costs ₹30–₹80 per square foot, which makes an LED display look absurd by comparison. The comparison is misleading because a flex board is replaced two to four times a year and an LED display is bought once.
| Flex / backlit | LED display | |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront | ₹30–80 / sq ft | ₹1,500–7,000 / sq ft |
| Replaced | 2–4 times a year | Once, 10+ year life |
| Content changes | Reprint each time | Free and unlimited |
| Running cost | Lighting only | ₹500–3,000 / month power |
| At night | Dark, or evenly backlit | Fully readable, self-lit |
Across a typical retail frontage, the total cost of an LED display usually overtakes flex plus backlit somewhere in year two to three — after which the content changes are free and the flex board is still being reprinted.
