Every school, office and apartment complex has a notice board, and almost all of them have the same problem: the notices nobody removed. A pinboard accumulates. Last term’s timetable stays up next to this week’s circular, and after a while people stop reading any of it, which defeats the point of having one.
A digital board fixes that mechanically rather than by discipline. A notice is posted with an expiry date and removes itself. Nobody has to remember, and nobody has to walk down and take it off.

Who actually updates it
The good news is that it is not a technical job. Content is posted from a browser — type the notice, set the dates, done. Anyone who can use email can run it. What it needs is not skill but an owner.

A waiting area is worth calling out separately. If the board is also showing token or queue numbers, split the screen into zones — a fixed area for the number and the rest for notices. A number that shares space with scrolling text gets missed, and someone loses their turn.
Schools and colleges
The common uses are timetable changes, exam and result notices, event announcements and emergency messages. The last one is the argument that usually settles it: a message can be on every board in the building in under a minute, which a printed circular cannot do at any price.
Where an institution is buying several, put one in the staff room as well as the public areas. Staff who can see the board working are far more likely to keep it current than staff who only hear about it.
Apartment societies
Maintenance notices, water tanker timings, AGM dates, visitor rules. The practical constraint here is usually mounting rather than the screen: many lobbies do not permit drilling into a granite or marble face, so a floor stand or an existing frame is the answer. Raise it at the site visit, because it changes the fabrication.

What is the price of a digital notice board in India?
They are priced by area at an indoor pitch. A 4 × 3 ft corridor board and an 8 × 4 ft hall board are quite different figures — the indicative ranges for each are in the table above, excluding GST. Pitch matters more than size, because notices are text and text needs a finer pitch than video.
Who updates a digital notice board?
Anyone you nominate. Content is posted from a browser — type the notice, set a start and expiry date, publish. It needs no technical skill, but it does need a named owner and a named backup, because the most common failure is not a fault but neglect.
Can notices remove themselves automatically?
Yes, and it is the main practical advantage over a pinboard. Each notice carries an expiry date and disappears on its own, so the board never accumulates the out-of-date material that stops people reading it.
