Channel letters are individually built three-dimensional letters, each one a small box with a lit face. They are what most people picture when they picture a good shop sign, and they remain the clearest way to make a name readable from a distance.
Front-lit, halo-lit, or both
- Front-lit — the letter face glows. Highest legibility, the default for retail frontages.
- Halo-lit (back-lit) — the letter face is opaque metal and light spills onto the wall behind. Reads as premium, but needs a clean wall surface to work.
- Combination — a lit face with a halo behind. The most expensive and the most striking at night.
Where a channel letter board still beats an LED screen
An LED display is the right answer when your message changes. Your business name does not change, and a fabricated letter set stays legible at a distance, uses almost no power and needs no content. Plenty of good frontages use both — letters for the name, a screen beneath it for offers.

Common questions
How much does a channel letter board cost?
Usually quoted per letter or per square foot of the letter set — commonly ₹850–₹2,000 per square foot depending on material, depth and lighting type. A standard 12 ft single-line shop name typically lands between ₹25,000 and ₹70,000 installed.
Acrylic or stainless steel?
Acrylic is lighter, cheaper and the only sensible choice for a front-lit letter, because the face has to transmit light. Stainless steel returns with an acrylic face give a more durable edge for exposed frontages; solid SS letters are used for halo lighting where the face stays opaque.
Can you do Kannada lettering?
Yes, and we do it regularly. Kannada characters need care on the counters and connecting strokes at small sizes, so we produce a fabrication proof at actual scale before cutting.
