What moves the price within those ranges
Two quotes for the same size and pitch routinely differ by 40%, and usually honestly. The difference is brightness, LED chip brand and cabinet type — and often that one quote quietly excludes the mounting structure, the cabling or the installation.

The Bangalore-specific costs
Two items sit outside every display quote and catch people out here specifically.
The first is advertising permission, and the position changed in 2026. The BBMP bye-laws were replaced by the Greater Bengaluru Area (Advertisement) Rules, 2025, and Rule 18(1) writes the self-advertisement exemption as excluding illuminated advertisements. On our reading that means an LED board does not get the exemption a painted board of the same size can, even carrying only your own name — so put a permission application in the budget for any lit board here, not only for one selling space to other brands. The large ad-carrying screens are the case where the figure can approach ₹1 lakh, which can exceed the difference between two screen options — so it belongs in the decision, not after it. The second is power sanction. A large outdoor display can push a small commercial connection past its sanctioned load, and a Bescom sanction increase takes time. Check the draw against your existing load before ordering.
